b) Code of Conduct for Safe and Honourable Tourism

India’s Code of Conduct for Safe and Honourable Tourism was developed by the Ministry of Tourism in association with PATA India Chapter, Save the Children - India, United Nations Office on Drugs & Crimes (UNODC) and Equitable Tourism Option (EQUATIONS). The code aims at safeguarding and protecting the dignity, safety and the right to freedom from exploitation of all tourists and local residents involved in or impacted by tourism.

Tourism stakeholders can commit to this aim by signing the Pledge for Commitment towards Safe & Honourable Tourism and Sustainable Tourism.
